Going for drinks to the same familiar spot over and over can get a little old. If you are looking for something different, unusual, and a little upscale, we have definitely found the spot for you. It’s a quirky, a little out of the way speakeasy called PDT (Please Don’t Tell).
This is that “diamond in the rough” you have been searching for, and you will have to search for it, as it’s hidden inside of a hotdog joint. We are not joking. You have to go through a secret door inside Crif Dogs in East Village to get in.
Once you enter Crif, you need to find an old wooden phone booth, the secret door to Please Don’t Tell.
You don’t need a reservation but it is recommended. The bar setting is saved for walk-ins, and you may have to wait a bit. But the cocktails, the ambient and the staff are well worth it.
Please Don’t Tell Reservations
Because of the pandemic Please Don’t Tell has had to change their reservation method. You now have to use the Resy app. Once you are in you will find a very knowledgeable and friendly staff that will make sure your experience is one you will not forget.
With amazing cocktails developed by one of the world’s most famous mixologists Jim Meehan, an excellent selection of beer and a great atmosphere, Please Don’t Tell is one place in New York City you need to find.
