Are you tired of just listening to the “popular” music of the day? Then it is time to get out and enjoy something new, like a little jazz. There is nothing quite like an evening of music that just makes you snap your fingers and tap your feet and that is what you will get at the Culture Lab LIC.
In fact, performing Saturday, August 14th is a jazz/indie rock band called Aberdeen. They feature their fantastic brass section, which includes Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Bob Reynolds. For them music is about community, bringing people together and sharing their cultures.
With a wonderful variety of music each week you can always find something to enjoy. The music is showcased every Thursday & Friday from 7 pm to 9 pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 4:30 pm to 8 pm.
There is no entry charge so get there a bit early to find your spot. They will have burgers, hotdogs and beer available for purchase.
Plaxall Art Gallery
The Culture Lab LIC (Long Island City) is a program run through the Plaxall Gallery. The Plaxall Art Gallery is a non-profit organization that has been supporting the performing arts since 2016.
Besides bringing you some cool bands, they also have comedy nights and dance performances. And of course, you can always browse the gallery during the day, or enjoy some of their evening showcases.
So get out there and enjoy some rising New York talent.
